Waterfalls, TOCCOA FALLS, GEORGIA
This photograph shows the lower section of Toccoa Falls, a spectacular 186-foot high cascade, 19 feet taller than Niagara Falls, located on the campus of Toccoa Falls College, just off Highway 17 near Toccoa in northern Georgia.
Early on November 6, 1977 a torrential rainstorm dropped 9 inches of water, causing an earthen dam to collapse. A huge torrent poured over the falls, killing 39 people on the Toccoa Falls Bible College campus.
