Barns, BANK BARN WITH CUPOLAS, WOOD COUNTY, OHIO I came upon this fine old bank barn while driving through Wood County near Bowling Green in northwest Ohio. The cut stone base and ornate triple cupolas are unusual features in this part of the Buckeye State. The barn was built in 1896. Nearby, in Henry County, farmer George Hyslop built his famous “pagoda” barn in 1910. A true “cow palace”, the huge barn with its impressive pagoda-style roof featured crop storage, 4 interior silos, and gracious living for up to 170 dairy cows. Sadly, it no longer stands.
